Disclaimer

Last updated: October 2026

Coin Knowledge’s content, on our website, YouTube, newsletter, courses, coaching and social media, is for general education only. This Disclaimer forms part of our Terms and Conditions.

Not Advice.

Nothing we publish or say is financial, investment, tax or legal advice, or a personal recommendation, and it doesn’t take account of your circumstances. We don’t tell you what to buy, sell or hold, assess what’s suitable for you, or manage anyone’s assets. Get advice from a qualified professional before making financial or tax decisions.

Not Regulated By The FCA.

Coin Knowledge Limited isn’t authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, and isn’t registered with it as a cryptoasset business.

Cryptoassets Are High Risk

Their value can fall as well as rise, including to zero. Most cryptoasset activity in the UK isn’t currently regulated by the FCA beyond anti-money laundering registration and the rules on financial promotions, and a new regime is due to start on 25 October 2027. The Financial Services Compensation Scheme doesn’t protect cryptoassets, and the Financial Ombudsman Service is unlikely to be able to consider complaints about them. Don’t put in money you can’t afford to lose.

Tax and Law.

Our coverage describes the UK position in general terms. How you’re taxed depends on your own circumstances, including your residence status. Rules change, and draft legislation often changes before it becomes law.

Accuracy.

We take care to research from primary sources and check our facts, but our content is only accurate as at the date it’s published, and we don’t update older content every time the rules change. If we find an error, we correct it publicly. Our views about the future are opinion, not forecasts, and guests’ views are their own.

Affiliate Links.

We earn commission from affiliate links, so please assume any product link on our site, in our videos or in our newsletter may be one. Using it doesn’t add to the price you pay, and a commercial relationship never buys favourable coverage. We also promote our own courses and coaching, and may promote events run by Digital Wealth London, a separate company we own.

Your Security.

You’re responsible for the security of your own assets. We’ll never ask for your seed phrase, private keys or passwords, or offer to recover lost funds. Anyone claiming to be us who does is a fraudster. Report it to Report Fraud (reportfraud.police.uk or 0300 123 2040) if you live in England, Wales or Northern Ireland, or to Police Scotland on 101 if you live in Scotland.

Liability.

We’re not responsible for decisions you make based on our content, or any losses that result. Section 6 of our Terms and Conditions explains our liability in full, and nothing here limits liability that can’t lawfully be limited.
