Coin Knowledge Limited (“we”, “us”) runs coinknowledge.io and is responsible for your personal information. We’re registered in England and Wales (company number 15899703), and our registered office is Formal House, 60 St. Georges Place, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, GL50 3PN. To contact us about your information, use the Contact page on our website or email info@coinknowledge.io.

1. What We Collect

  • Your name, email address and anything you send us when you join our newsletter, create an account, buy something, book coaching or contact us.
  • Your billing details and what you’ve bought. Card payments go through our payment provider, so we never see your full card number.
  • For coaching, what you choose to tell us about your goals and experience, and your coaching plan.
  • How you use our site and emails, through cookies and email tracking (see section 4).

Affiliate partners usually tell us about referrals without identifying you, although occasionally a partner may share your first name.

2. Why We Use It

You don’t have to give us your information, but we can’t provide our newsletter, courses or coaching without the details we need for them. You can withdraw your consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing from our emails.

3. Who We Share It With

We don’t sell your information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business (such as website hosting, email, payments, course delivery, video calls and analytics), our accountants and advisers, and freelancers who work for us, and only as far as they need it. We’ll also disclose it where the law requires.

Some of these are outside the UK. When your information is transferred abroad, we make sure it’s protected, either because the UK has approved the country or organisation it’s going to, or by using contract terms approved for UK transfers. Contact us if you’d like details.

4. Cookies And Email Tracking

We use strictly necessary cookies to make the site work. We only use analytics and marketing cookies if you agree, and you can change your choice at any time through the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. If you play an embedded YouTube video, YouTube may set its own cookies.

Our emails tell us whether they’ve been opened and which links have been clicked. You can stop this at any time by unsubscribing.

5. How Long We Keep It

  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. After that, we keep only your email address, so we don’t contact you again.
  • Your account, course access and Academy membership: while your account is open. Posts you make in the Academy community are visible to other members until you or we remove them.
  • Coaching plans, enquiries and other messages: 12 months after our last contact.
  • Payment and financial records: 6 years from the end of the financial year, as tax law requires.
  • Testimonials: until you ask us to remove them.
  • Analytics: up to 14 months.

If there’s a complaint or dispute, we may keep the relevant information until it’s resolved.

6. Your Rights

You can ask to see a copy of your information, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive it in a format you can move elsewhere. If you object to marketing, we’ll always stop. Contact us to use any of these rights. We’ll reply within one month (or up to three months for complex requests, in which case we’ll tell you), and we may need to confirm your identity first.

7. Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please contact us. We’ll acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and tell you the outcome without undue delay. You can also complain to the Information Commission (known as the ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

8. Children And Changes

Our services are for adults, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. We’ll update this policy when our practices change, and the date at the top shows the latest version.
